 Mysterious isn't so mysterious at all being a very simple shot taken on top of a light box using a blue gel for a background and a red gel off to the side for color highlights. The stars were cheap Christmas decorations under $2 and the round globe was an inexpensive plastic globe purchased at a local platic store for under $5. When I find interesting objects like these I collect them and try photographing them in a variety of compositions.

Cubes
is a simple image that experiments with simple colors and forms. This shot is similar to
Mysterious in that it was also taken on top of a light box using a blue gel for a
background and a yellow gel off to the side for color highlights. A white fill card was
used to reflect the yellow back into the other side of the plastic cubes.

Light Echoes is a photo of my dining room lights, which
also provided the light source, reflected in a Tokina 20-35mm wide angle lens. Notice the
relfections of the lights that appear to go off into infinity with various colors produced
by the coating on the individual Tokina lens elements. This close-up was photographed on
Fuji Velvia using a Minolta 100mm macro lens. Everybody uses a lens to take pictures, but
consider your lens as the picture!
